The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cucuy jabs at Nazzal's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cucuy. Nazzal does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cucuy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nazzal!

Cucuy wants to stand but Nazzal is controlling his arm.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cucuy looking to land elbow strikes but Nazzal uses the position to regain half guard.

Cucuy is pressing down on Nazzal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nazzal is holding on for now.
Cucuy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nazzal tries to roll over but Cucuy keeps him under control.
Nazzal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cucuy on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cucuy is trying to control the action in half guard but Nazzal is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well Cucuy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
