The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedsharipov throws a series of punches but Figueira avoids them all with ease.
Magomedsharipov misses with a two punch combination.
Figueira shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As Figueira looks to move away, Magomedsharipov throws a big counter combo but Figueira just gets out of the way.
Magomedsharipov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Figueira wants to counter with a clinch but Magomedsharipov pushes him away.
Figueira moves forwards but Magomedsharipov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Magomedsharipov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Figueira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Magomedsharipov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Magomedsharipov counters with a huge left! Figueira is in big trouble! He's backing up but Magomedsharipov isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Figueira from any more damage. A dominating finish by Magomedsharipov!
