Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunt Mfer (ranked 798 p4p, 811 weight class) and Hiroshima Nagasaki (ranked 119 p4p, 121 weight class). Nagasaki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ground Zero (MOP) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hiroshima Nagasaki!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nagasaki! But no joy.
Nagasaki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mfer manages to avoid it.
Hunt Mfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mfer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nagasaki walks forward, straight into a front kick from Mfer.
Mfer closes the distance but Nagasaki moves to the side
and Nagasaki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nagasaki feints and then cracks Mfer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mfer down.

Mfer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mfer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mfer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nagasaki keeps working.

Mfer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nagasaki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mfer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nagasaki rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mfer's guard! Nice work there by Nagasaki!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mfer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nagasaki is aware though and is defending well.

Mfer has his foot on Nagasaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nagasaki works his way back into a safe position though.

Nagasaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mfer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nagasaki has managed to get both his arms back between Mfer's legs - danger averted.

Mfer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nagasaki is aware though and is defending well.

Nagasaki gets to his feet - Mfer follows without any prompting.
Nagasaki connects with a right hand. Mfer shakes it off.
Mfer shoots in looking for a takedown. Nagasaki tries to sprawl out of it but Mfer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nagasaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hiroshima Nagasaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mfer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nagasaki is trying to defend but Mfer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mfer is looking to stall here but Nagasaki recovers full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mfer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Nagasaki is trying to hold Mfer in close to prevent damage but Mfer has managed to pass into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Hunt Mfer will probably get the nod.

Mfer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Nagasaki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mfer sees it coming and avoids it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mfer has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Nagasaki wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mfer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nagasaki walks away with a smile on his face. Mfer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Nagasaki counters with a nice right hand that sends Mfer toppling to the canvas! Mfer scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nagasaki finish him?!

Mfer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oh Mfer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
