The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeBlass closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.

DeBlass drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick DeBlass off! DeBlass jumps back into Jones's guard.
DeBlass advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeBlass content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
DeBlass has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
DeBlass trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeBlass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
DeBlass is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

DeBlass moves to the back position.

DeBlass has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jones is defending well but eventually DeBlass manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jones has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
