Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hanson (ranked 2040 p4p, 3718 weight class) and Jocky Brodie (ranked 293 p4p, 480 weight class). Brodie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Braveheart Theme - Oakenfold Remix. David Hanson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brodie's guard.

Brodie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hanson is working Brodie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hanson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brodie is just riding it out for now. Hanson eventually gives up the hold.

Hanson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hanson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brodie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hanson.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hanson is looking for a kimura but Brodie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hanson to get the leverage.

Brodie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hanson pulls his head out easily.

Brodie has his foot on Hanson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hanson works his way back into a safe position though.

Hanson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brodie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hanson has Brodie in his guard.

Hanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brodie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hanson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Brodie doesn't defend quickly enough and Hanson has managed to lock this one up! Can Brodie escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hanson on a fantastic submission victory.
