Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cozad misses with a body shot
and Yarmalenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Yarmalenko lands with an uppercut that bounces Cozad off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Mike Cozad has been cut.
Yarmalenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Cozad should have avoided that one.
Yarmalenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cozad circles away quickly and effectively.
Cozad is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Yarmalenko with a body shot.

Yarmalenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cozad moves away.
Cozad looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Yarmalenko lands a big head kick that sends Cozad tumbling to the mat! Yarmalenko takes a step backwards and waves Cozad back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Whack! Yarmalenko lands a heavy head kick that drops Cozad. The ref tackles Yarmalenko to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Cozad was done.
