Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Haygag Kapoian!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapoian misses with a straight right.

Kapoian has taken the fight to the clinch.
Katamichi doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Katamichi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kapoian fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Kapoian has clasped his hands together around Katamichi's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Katamichi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kapoian wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kapoian swings around for an armbar but Katamichi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kapoian's guard.
Katamichi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kapoian's head.

Kapoian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Katamichi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Katamichi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Katamichi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Katamichi connects with a couple of short punches.
Katamichi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Katamichi content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Katamichi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kapoian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Katamichi manages to get himself to full guard.

Katamichi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kapoian is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Katamichi won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Kapoian off his unconscious opponent!

Haygag Kapoian decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
