Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Agansing Rai (ranked 790 p4p, 1747 weight class) and Saxon Byrd (ranked 113 p4p, 234 weight class). Rai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Break Stuff. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Saxon Byrd!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rai connects with a nice looking jab.
Byrd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rai sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rai moves out of range of the strikes.
Byrd tries to clinch there but Rai circles away.
An attempted straight right counter from Rai misses the target.
Rai tests Byrd's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rai lands a jab to the nose.
Rai looks to throw the jab but Byrd is out of range.
Byrd lands with a nice combination. Rai backs away looking to recover.
Byrd misses with a low kick.
Rai with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Byrd connects with an inside leg kick.
Byrd throws a leg kick which misses Rai's front leg but catches the back leg as Rai tries to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Byrd throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
And Rai counters with a quick kick to the body but Byrd blocks it.
Byrd chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rai can pounce on him.
Byrd tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rai is able to avoid easily.
Rai throws the left hand but Byrd avoids the punch easily.
Byrd is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Byrd takes a swing at Rai's ribcage but misses.
Byrd misses with a hook. Rai ducked under it nicely.

A nice inside leg kick there by Rai. That's going to slow Byrd down.

Byrd missing with a left hand there. Rai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A telegraphed right hand from Rai misses the target.
Byrd throws a low kick but Rai avoids it.

Rai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rai lands a head shot.
Byrd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rai was well out of range. Poor timing from Byrd.

Rai throws a right hand that Byrd ducks under and follows up with a left that Byrd also avoids with ease.

enabling Byrd to counter with a crisp jab.
Rai throws a leg kick which misses Byrd's front leg but catches the back leg as Byrd tries to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rai does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rai lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Byrd is rocked!
Rai cracks Byrd with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Byrd falls to his knees and Rai doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Agansing Rai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
