Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Farias (ranked 4243 p4p, 4296 weight class) and Simba Osei (ranked 0 p4p, 189 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Farias wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Farias is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Farias is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Osei defends well.

Farias has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Osei can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Farias pulls Osei in close to his closed guard and prevents Osei from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farias escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Osei gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Farias is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Farias wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Farias's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Farias jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Osei walks away with a smile on his face. Farias gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Leandro Farias's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
