Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bear Coleman (ranked 3793 p4p, 5810 weight class) and Aleksis Porzingis (ranked 393 p4p, 531 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bear Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Aleksis Porzingis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Porzingis moves away.
Porzingis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Coleman sprawls well. Coleman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Porzingis gets slowly back to his feet.

and Porzingis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Porzingis shoots in for a takedown but Coleman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Porzingis changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Porzingis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coleman.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bear Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksis Porzingis.

Porzingis is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Porzingis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Coleman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coleman misses with a wild body shot.
Coleman moves out of range of the body kick.
Coleman is looking to counter punch.
Porzingis slips a jab from Coleman.
Porzingis moves away from the strike by Coleman.
A jab lands there for Coleman.
Coleman scores with a hook to the body. Porzingis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Coleman misses the shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coleman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Porzingis.
Porzingis moves out of range of the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Porzingis fails with the takedown.

Coleman has Porzingis up against the ropes in a clinch.
Porzingis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Porzingis is still on wobbly legs! Can Coleman finish him?
Porzingis drops his hands momentarily. Coleman doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Porzingis staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Porzingis doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bear Coleman!
