Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Amir (ranked 509 p4p, 922 weight class) and Hero Shima (ranked 68 p4p, 105 weight class). Amir comes to the cage accompanied by Mastodon - Gobblers of Dregs. Shima is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by C. R. E. A. M. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amir.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shima got a little sloppy there for a moment and Amir has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shima has managed to get both his arms back between Amir's legs - danger averted.

Shima postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Amir is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shima, into his guard.

Shima has his foot on Amir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amir works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hero Shima decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
