Leben comes to the cage accompanied by Wynona's Big Brown Beaver. Burt has chosen Got the Life as his entrance music. Black Leben has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Black Leben!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Branson Burt!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burt moves into the clinch.
Burt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Leben working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Burt looking to throw knees to the head but Leben is blocking nicely.
Leben misses with a short punch on the inside.
Burt tries to land a knee to the head but Leben blocks with his arms.

Leben breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burt takes one to the chin there.
Burt tries to clinch up.
Burt ducks right into an uppercut from Leben.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leben swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Burt pushes Leben up against the cage in a clinch.
Burt throws a knee to the head but misses.
Burt's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Burt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Leben avoids the elbow strike from Burt, against the cage.

Leben breaks the clinch.
Burt tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Leben counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leben avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burt tries to move into range but Leben moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Branson Burt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leben swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burt is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Leben avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burt moves forwards but Leben connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Leben punishes Burt's body with a nice straight punch.
Leben throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Burt on the side of the head.
Burt tries to clinch but Leben moves away
and Leben connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Burt is rocked!
We've been told by Leben's head coaches at SYDNEY ELITE GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Leben drops Burt with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Burt! Leben dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
