Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quebra Cranio (ranked 92 p4p, 57 weight class) and Shinnosuke Nakagawa (ranked 12 p4p, 8 weight class). Nakagawa has chosen Koto - CloZee as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakagawa drives through and clinches with Cranio against the cage.
Nakagawa tries to pull guard but Cranio holds him up against the cage and eventually Nakagawa drops back down to his feet.
Nakagawa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Cranio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cranio displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nakagawa throws out the jab.
Nakagawa works the jab nicely.
Nakagawa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakagawa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nakagawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cranio appears to be looking for a big counter.
Shinnosuke Nakagawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cranio lands a jab to the head.
Nakagawa connects with a body shot that sends Cranio's belly button to the back.
Cranio looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cranio throws a body punch but Nakagawa moves out of range.

and Cranio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Quebra Cranio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nakagawa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cranio sprawls well. Cranio wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nakagawa gets slowly back to his feet.
Quebra Cranio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinnosuke Nakagawa.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
