The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lett shoots in but McPherson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McPherson moves in looking to clinch but Lett pushes him off.
McPherson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lett back to the cage. McPherson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
McPherson looks to land a combination but Lett avoids it well.
Lett attempts a counter takedown but McPherson avoids it well and moves away.

McPherson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lett did well to prevent McPherson getting side control.
Lett tries to get to full guard but McPherson has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
