PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Kilgore (ranked 3168 p4p, 2133 weight class) and Pushka Kamenev (ranked 441 p4p, 318 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pushka Kamenev was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamenev on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kilgore.

Kamenev tries for a takedown but Kilgore sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Kilgore finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kamenev shoots in and drives through. Kilgore sprawls well.

enabling Kilgore to counter with a crisp jab.
Jeremy Kilgore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pushka Kamenev.

Kamenev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kilgore swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kamenev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kilgore with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kamenev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kilgore knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kamenev frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kilgore tries to hold on but Kamenev pushes him away.
Kilgore is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The referee warns Kilgore that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kilgore tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kilgore is bucking up trying to escape but Kamenev cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
