Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin McDolan (ranked 3192 p4p, 24926 weight class) and Albert Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Martin McDolan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Albert Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDolan misses with a left hand
and Gonzalez counters with a series of strikes. McDolan will be more careful next time no doubt.
McDolan scores with a sloppy right hand. Gonzalez should have avoided that one.
Gonzalez tries a head kick but it misses.
McDolan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gonzalez slips under a jab.
McDolan scores with a jab. Gonzalez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Donk. McDolan catches Gonzalez right on the button with a cross.

Despite the aggression on Gonzalez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
McDolan scores with a sloppy right hand. Gonzalez should have avoided that one.
McDolan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gonzalez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Martin McDolan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McDolan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McDolan throws a lazy right hand but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gonzalez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McDolan pinned against the cage. McDolan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

McDolan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McDolan wants it to stay on the feet.
Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown. McDolan tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzalez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDolan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McDolan is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
