Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carter Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikey Marciano!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wright doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wright misses with an uppercut
and Marciano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wright swings widly with a right hand
and Marciano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Carter Wright has been cut.
Marciano throws a hook but Wright avoids it easily.
Wright has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Marciano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Marciano! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marciano moves out of range of the strikes.
Marciano misses with a body shot.
Wright throwing a counter right hand but Marciano manages to avoid it.

Marciano throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Good work by Marciano as he checks the leg kick.
Wright fakes the leg kick and cracks Marciano in the body.
Wright misses with a right hand
and Marciano counters with a straight right hand.
Wright jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marciano ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wright throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Marciano counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wright's knee momentarily.

Wright swinging wildly here.
Wright misses with a body kick.
Marciano flicks out a counter leg kick but Wright steps away.
Marciano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It seemed like Marciano was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Marciano takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Marciano with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wright to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Mikey Marciano has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wright connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Marciano momentarily.

Marciano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A swing and a miss from Wright.
Marciano moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wright lands with a straight right. Marciano didn't see that one coming.
Wright throws a sloppy body shot
and Marciano counters with a nice leg kick.
Marciano throws a hook to the side of Wright's head but Wright sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wright takes one to the side of the head.
Carter Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marciano misses with a right hand
and Wright counters with a nice body shot.
Marciano slips a straight right by Wright.
Wright misses with a left hand
and Marciano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Marciano takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marciano misses with an uppercut
and Wright counters with a straight right hand.

Marciano is rocked!
Marciano steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wright.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mikey Marciano will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wright cracks Marciano with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Marciano tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Wright pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Marciano is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carter Wright!
