The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcintyre takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ghiotto lunges at Mcintyre with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mcintyre's hand.
Gabriele Ghiotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ghiotto digs a good body shot into Mcintyre's ribs.
We've been informed that Mcintyre has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Ghiotto ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ghiotto no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ghiotto is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
