Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hamid Hamud (ranked 6311 p4p, 4188 weight class) and Andrew Kelvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Andrew Kelvin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hamid Hamud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Kelvin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Topper Green and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kelvin closes the distance and clinches.
Hamud is working for takedown but Kelvin is calmly controlling the position for now.

Hamud has hold of one of Kelvin's legs. Kelvin is fighting the takedown attempt but Hamud gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Hamud controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hamud pushes down on Kelvin's leg and manages to get into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kelvin tries to kick Hamud off but Hamud keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kelvin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hamud is working away from the top position though.
Hamud is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kelvin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kelvin misses with a shot to the body
and Hamud counters with a body kick.
Hamud closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kelvin circles away.
Hamud fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamid Hamud. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Hamud counters with a nice body shot.

And Hamud counters with a quick kick to the body but Kelvin blocks it.
Kelvin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hamud counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kelvin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kelvin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kelvin shoots in for a takedown but Hamud shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Hamud counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hamud seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hamud stays in close to Kelvin's body and controls the position.

Andrew Kelvin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hamud counters with a shoot takedown. Kelvin fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kelvin has his feet on Hamud's thighs here. He's pushed Hamud off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hamud screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
