And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wesley Clark!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark scores with a jab. Covington acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Clark feints and then cracks Covington's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Covington down.

and Covington decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clark's guard.
Covington chips away with some ground and pound.
Clark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Clark lands a nice short elbow.

Clark thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Covington moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Covington lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

Covington tries to strike from the bottom.
Clark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Covington has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Clark should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Covington has tightened it up now! Clark should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
