Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Shirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Bakker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barry Shirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Harry Bakker!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakker tries to clinch up.

Bakker tries to keep at a distance but Shirk has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bakker throws a punch but it's blocked by Shirk.

Shirk jumps into guard, dragging Bakker to the mat.
Bakker trying to control the position from guard on top but Shirk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shirk tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Shirk looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bakker passes into side control.

Bakker has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bakker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bakker feints and as Shirk raises his hands in defense, Bakker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bakker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shirk is proving hard to escape from.

Shirk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bakker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shirk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bakker's guard.

Bakker bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bakker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shirk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bakker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bakker's back!

Shirk lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.


It looks like Harry Bakker has been cut.

Bakker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shirk swivels and escapes.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bakker's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Shirk here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bakker has hold of Shirk's hands but Shirk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shirk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bakker is on top in guard.

Shirk is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bakker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


The has opened up Harry Bakker's cut even more.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shirk cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Harry Bakker's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Shirk lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Bakker is rocked!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Harry Bakker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
