Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jovan Dickons (ranked 4107 p4p, 3369 weight class) and Bruno Miranda (ranked 532 p4p, 461 weight class). Dickons kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sidung. Jovan Dickons has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dickons throws a body shot but no joy.
Miranda defending well as Dickons loads up on a big left hand.
Dickons fails with a takedown attempt.
Dickons fails to land the takedown.
Dickons misses with a wild body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dickons changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miranda tries to avoid it but Dickons manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miranda to the ground. Miranda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jovan Dickons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dickons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miranda sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Miranda feints the counter takedown.
Dickons swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Miranda counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Miranda throws a shot from downtown. Dickons moves away and avoids it.
Dickons avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Miranda paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Miranda connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dickons momentarily.
Miranda tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dickons defends well and Miranda ends up having to push Dickons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dickons attempts a counter takedown but Miranda avoids it well and moves away.
Dickons shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miranda as he jumps to the side.
Dickons doesn't manage to clinch there - Miranda circles away.

Miranda lands a really nice looking cross but Dickons seems unphased.
Dickons ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Miranda uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dickons shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miranda but Miranda pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Miranda feints and as Dickons raises his hands in defense, Miranda changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dickons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miranda doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dickons is tightening it up a little... Miranda has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Miranda reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Miranda taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dickons!
