Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reino Ruttu (ranked 2309 p4p, 1304 weight class) and Barkeep Quark (ranked 303 p4p, 183 weight class). Quark is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Megadeth - Train of Consequences. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quark scores with a hook to the body. Ruttu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

It looks like Barkeep Quark has been cut.

Quark drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Quark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Quark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ruttu is just riding it out for now. Quark eventually gives up the hold.

Quark slips a nice elbow through Ruttu's hands, connecting with Ruttu's forehead.

Quark is pressing down on Ruttu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ruttu is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruttu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ruttu is bucking up trying to escape but Quark cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Quark feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ruttu seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ruttu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
