PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geagan Bravesmasher (ranked 25181 p4p, 5691 weight class) and Sherman Manau (ranked 263 p4p, 231 weight class). Bravesmasher's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Neck . Manau is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Big Boys. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sherman Manau!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravesmasher lands a head kick. Manau smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Sherman Manau has been cut.
Bravesmasher tries a head kick but it misses.

Bravesmasher instigates a clinch.

Bravesmasher works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Manau pulls Bravesmasher in to control the position.
Bravesmasher lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Manau looking for a sweep. Not yet Manau, not yet.
Bravesmasher stops Manau from standing up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bravesmasher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Manau controlling the position.
Bravesmasher trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Manau wants to get back to his feet but Bravesmasher is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bravesmasher throws a strike but Manau rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Manau trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Manau prevents Bravesmasher from getting back to his feet.

Manau content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bravesmasher looking for a sweep. Not yet Bravesmasher, not yet.
Bravesmasher throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Bravesmasher wants to stand and escape but Manau is having none of it.
Manau pushes down on Bravesmasher's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Manau is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Manau is pressing down on Bravesmasher's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bravesmasher is holding on for now.
Bravesmasher wants to get back to his feet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Manau is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Geagan Bravesmasher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Manau goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bravesmasher tries to clinch up
and Manau counters with a huge left! Bravesmasher is in big trouble! He's backing up but Manau isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Bravesmasher from any more damage. A dominating finish by Manau!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sherman Manau!
After the fight, Sherman Manau was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Geagan Bravesmasher was interviewed post fight and said 'LOOKS LIKE I NEED TO READ MORE BOOKS OF THIKKEMS DA LARGE'.
