Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rikz Monkey (ranked 1771 p4p, 2020 weight class) and Ryu Akutagawa (ranked 103 p4p, 117 weight class). Monkey comes to the cage accompanied by Unbecoming. Ryu Akutagawa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rikz Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryu Akutagawa!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Akutagawa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Monkey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Monkey blocks a jab.
Akutagawa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Akutagawa throws a leg kick but Monkey sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jab, jab by Akutagawa - just one landing.
Akutagawa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Monkey misses with a hook.
That kick from Akutagawa tenderised Monkey's leg. Monkey is trying to keep his angry face on.

Monkey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Akutagawa.
Akutagawa swings widly with a right hand
and Monkey counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Akutagawa thinking.
Monkey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Akutagawa at a distance.
Monkey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akutagawa.
Monkey cracks Akutagawa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Akutagawa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Monkey scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Akutagawa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Monkey's corner calls for a 1-2. Monkey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Monkey takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Akutagawa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Monkey under the eye.
It looks like Rikz Monkey has been cut.
Akutagawa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Monkey is rocked!
Akutagawa loads up on a big right hand but Monkey slips the punch.
Oh Monkey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Akutagawa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Akutagawa avoids the body shot from Monkey.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Akutagawa, as that shot connected.
Akutagawa misses with a hook. Monkey ducked under it nicely.
Monkey is looking to counter punch.
Monkey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A nice leg kick lands there from Akutagawa.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Monkey takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Monkey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akutagawa manages to avoid it.
Akutagawa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Akutagawa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Monkey.

enabling Akutagawa to counter with a crisp jab.

Monkey is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Akutagawa drops Monkey with a beautiful combination! Monkey stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Akutagawa is looking for the KO!
Akutagawa lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Monkey falls backwards - clearly groggy! Akutagawa dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryu Akutagawa!
Ryu Akutagawa tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Rikz Monkey stepped up to the mic, saying 'how?'.
