The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shewmaker has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Shewmaker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ribeiro sends Shewmaker crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ribeiro is motioning to the referee to let Shewmaker up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Shewmaker is rocked!
No joy there for Shewmaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shewmaker is still on wobbly legs! Can Ribeiro finish him?
Shewmaker misses with a left hand
and Ribeiro counters with a stiff right hand.
Shewmaker walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Shewmaker limp body while Ribeiro jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lipe Ribeiro!
Lipe Ribeiro got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
