Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Long Hung Dong (ranked 439 p4p, 723 weight class) and Thomas Hearn (ranked 64 p4p, 100 weight class). Hearn has chosen Professor X - Dave as his entrance music. Thomas Hearn has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Long Hung Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Hearn!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Topper Green and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hearn counters with a stiff right hand.
Hearn circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hearn counters with a nice uppercut.
Long Hung Dong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hearn ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hearn moves out of range as Dong throws a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hearn throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Dong throws a nice looking combination but Hearn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hearn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dong lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hearn throws a right hand that Dong ducks under and follows up with a left that Dong also avoids with ease.
Dong has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cannabis Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Hearn throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dong jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dong misses with the body kick
and Dong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hearn throws an overhand right that lands on Dong's shoulder, as Dong tries to avoid the shot.
Dong is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hearn.
Hearn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Dong throws a nice looking combination but Hearn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dong drops his hands momentarily and Hearn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dong wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hearn digs a right hand underneath Dong's ribcage. Dong let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dong blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hearn doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hearn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Dong digs a right hand into Hearn's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hearn's gas tank.

Dong jumps guard but Hearn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hearn tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dong's elbow.
Hearn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Long Hung Dong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Hearn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Hearn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dong thinking.

Dong lands a nice hook to Hearn's body. Hearn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dong tries to pull guard but Hearn forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Dong jumps guard but Hearn stands there with Dong around his waist. Dong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hearn has a couple of punches blocked by Dong.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hearn defends it easily.

Hearn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dong is trying to keep Hearn in close.

Dong wants to control but Hearn passes easily into half guard.
Hearn working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Dong's thigh. Dong counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Thomas Hearn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dong is trying to keep Hearn in close.
Hearn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Long Hung Dong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hearn wants to get up but he can't break Dong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hearn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dong takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dong misses the body punch
and Hearn counters with a right hand to the body.
Dong tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hearn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hearn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dong. That did some damage!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hearn throws a hook to the side of Dong's head but Dong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dong tries to counter by clinching up but Hearn breaks away and moves out of range.
Hearn avoids the head kick by Dong.

Well Hearn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
