Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sonny Giovanni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gurizuri Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Giovanni cracks a nice hook into Nakamura's ribs.
Giovanni throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Giovanni closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nakamura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nakamura throws a shot to the body.
A jab from Giovanni misses.
Giovanni misses with a low kick.
Giovanni misses with a looping right.
Giovanni bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nakamura's head backwards.

and Giovanni counters with a nice body shot.

Giovanni connects with a leg kick.
Giovanni goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nakamura misses with an uppercut.
Nakamura misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Giovanni.

and Nakamura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Nakamura prevents Giovanni from standing back up.
Giovanni is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Convicted Top Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Giovanni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nakamura on the ground.
Giovanni kicks Nakamura off and gets back to his feet.
Giovanni slips a straight right by Nakamura.
Giovanni misses with a few strikes there.
Nakamura throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Giovanni stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nakamura uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Giovanni.
Nakamura connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Giovanni misses with a low kick.
Nakamura steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Giovanni. That one must have hurt.
Nakamura throws a body punch but Giovanni moves out of range.
Giovanni drops Nakamura with a beautiful combination! Nakamura stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Giovanni is looking for the KO!
Nakamura is rocked!
It looks like Gurizuri Nakamura has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nakamura tries to clinch but Giovanni is having none of it.
Nakamura is still on wobbly legs! Can Giovanni finish him?
Nakamura misses with a jab to the body
and Giovanni counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Nakamura out cold! What a finish! Giovanni is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sonny Giovanni!
