Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walad Anubis (ranked 406 p4p, 640 weight class) and Mikey Marciano (ranked 49 p4p, 85 weight class). Anubis comes to the cage accompanied by Hideaway. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikey Marciano!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Anubis throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Marciano to counter with a crisp jab.
Anubis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It looked like Anubis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Anubis misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Marciano counters with a nice uppercut.
Marciano misses with a hook. Anubis ducked under it nicely.
Marciano throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anubis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Anubis tried to counter with a leg kick but Marciano avoided it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marciano drops Anubis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Anubis looks back up at him and smiles so Marciano waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Anubis is rocked!

Marciano swings widly with a right hand
and Anubis counters with a good low kick that Marciano was not able to check.
Oh Anubis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Anubis counters with a body kick that stops Marciano in his tracks momentarily.
Anubis seems to have got his legs back now.
Anubis slips a straight right by Marciano.
Anubis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Marciano throws a right hand that Anubis ducks under and follows up with a left that Anubis also avoids with ease.
Anubis jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Marciano misses with an uppercut
and Anubis counters with a right hand to the body.
Marciano misses with a lunging right hand
and Anubis counters with a thumping low kick.
Marciano misses with a lunging right hand
letting Anubis counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marciano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anubis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marciano.
Anubis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Mikey Marciano has been cut.
Marciano misses with a hook
and Anubis counters with a crisp right that sends Marciano to the canvas! Anubis follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
