Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Temple (ranked 2057 p4p, 2417 weight class) and Magnus Thorgard (ranked 308 p4p, 353 weight class). Temple comes to the cage accompanied by HonestKey- What My Life For. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Temple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Magnus Thorgard!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Temple.
Temple landing strikes.
Thorgard is not content to let Temple control the position.
Thorgard tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thorgard stops Temple from passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temple wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thorgard keeps working.
The referee asks Temple politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Temple prefers to stall for the moment though.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Thorgard is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Temple wants to control but Thorgard is keeping him busy.
Temple looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Temple postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Temple is looking to take a break and control but Thorgard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here as Temple stalls from top position.
Thorgard is not content to let Temple control the position.
You can see the frustration on Thorgard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Temple wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thorgard keeps working.

Temple working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Temple thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Temple is trying to move to mount but Thorgard reverses beautifully and ends up in Temple's guard.

Thorgard is working Temple over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Thorgard wants to control from the top but Temple keeps moving.
Temple has his hands on Thorgard's head, controlling the position.
Temple has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thorgard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Temple controls Thorgard momentarily but Thorgard frees himself.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Thorgard takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Temple closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Temple lands in his opponent's guard.

Trent Temple overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Thorgard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Thorgard cracks Temple with an elbow. That is naaassty.

It looks like Trent Temple has been cut.
Temple throws a hook but Thorgard avoids it easily.
Thorgard's coach down at Combat Wombat Burrow was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thorgard's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Temple doesn't succeed with the takedown

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Temple connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thorgard's hands.

Temple misses with an uppercut
and Thorgard counters with a crisp right hand that drops Temple! Thorgard lets Temple back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Temple is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Temple misses with a takedown attempt - Thorgard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Temple. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Temple tries to clinch
and Thorgard counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Magnus Thorgard thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
