The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nelson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silvia throws a body shot but no joy.
Nelson swings for the body but Silvia moves out of range.
Nelson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kelvin Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nelson drops Silvia with a left and a right! Oh, Silvia is hurt - Nelson dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Pepe Silvia has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silvia is trying to get back to half guard.
Silvia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
You can see the frustration on Silvia's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Silvia tries to buck Nelson off but Nelson is having none of it.
Nelson is working Silvia over with some ground and pound from side control.
