Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Mathieu (ranked 157 p4p, 110 weight class) and Sven Torvik (ranked 8 p4p, 7 weight class). Torvik has chosen MUPP & Sadfriendd - BLOODY! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ernesto Mathieu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sven Torvik!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torvik rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mathieu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Torvik thinking.
Mathieu ducks under a wild hook from Torvik.
Mathieu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Torvik loads up on a big right hand but Mathieu slips the punch.
It looked like Mathieu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Torvik has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Sven Torvik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Torvik takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Mathieu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Torvik digs a good body shot into Mathieu's ribs.

and Mathieu counters with a three punch combo that has Torvik backing up. Torvik nods at Mathieu to acknowledge the strikes.

Mathieu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Sven Torvik's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Torvik takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
