The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Ship.

Raper tries to sprawl but Ship drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Raper wants to get back to full guard.
Ship has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Deathsquad. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Raper is looking to control Ship's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Raper avoid being mounted?

Ship is looking for a kimura but Raper is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ship to get the leverage.
Raper is trying to get back to full guard.
Ship is taking a breather. Raper says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Raper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ship defends it easily.

Ship throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Raper stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Raper walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Ship bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Raper's head.
Ship uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Raper.
Raper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ship moves away.

Donk. Ship catches Raper right on the button with a cross.
Ship throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Raper takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Roman Ship has been cut.
Ship stuns Raper with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ship ducks under a wild hook from Raper.

Raper rushes Ship and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ship tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Raper smiles and moves away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Raper lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ship has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ship and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Raper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ship paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No joy there for Raper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ship tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Raper defends well and Ship ends up having to push Raper into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Raper is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ship pulls his head out easily.

Ship fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Raper to the ground. Ship is now in Raper's guard.
Raper is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ship dives into side control.

Ship shoots for a double leg takedown but Raper sprawls well. He's pushed Ship's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ship's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Raper connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ship scrambles back to his feet.
