Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Wiener!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grand Admiral Thrawn!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrawn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Thrawn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Thrawn tries a head kick but it misses.
Thrawn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wiener manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thrawn moves out of range of the body kick.
Wiener scores with a head kick. Thrawn tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Grand Admiral Thrawn has been cut.
Wiener throws a nice inside leg kick.

Thrawn rushes Wiener and presses him up against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Thrawn obliges.
Thrawn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wiener has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Thrawn tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Thrawn told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Wiener's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wiener tries a head kick but it misses.
Wiener thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thrawn if he has to take too many more of those.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Thrawn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Thrawn wants to clinch up but Wiener keeps it at a distance.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wiener! Thrawn is out on his feet! Wiener rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Thrawn is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Thrawn is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Walter Wiener!
