PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cayden Abner (ranked 2902 p4p, 1910 weight class) and Malachi Lawrence (ranked 416 p4p, 289 weight class). Abner comes to the cage accompanied by Bulls On Parade. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Malachi Lawrence was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cayden Abner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malachi Lawrence!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lawrence has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lawrence shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lawrence was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Malachi Lawrence decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Cayden Abner spoke after the fight, saying 'Well that was fun, but the result was all wrong and kinda sucked. Let's do it again!'.
