Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brusse Liee (ranked 1152 p4p, 1739 weight class) and Edgar Frankies (ranked 153 p4p, 234 weight class). Liee's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Disturbed - Indestructible [Official Music Video]. Frankies comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Steady as she goes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Brusse Liee has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edgar Frankies!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankies throws a lazy right hand but Liee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Liee throws a right and a left that Frankies avoids nicely.

Frankies closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Liee pushes off an throws an elbow but Frankies leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Liee misses with a hook to the ribs.
Liee lands a shoulder strike.
Frankies managing to block the knees to the body from Liee.
Liee pushes Frankies back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Frankies lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Liee can't break the clinch.
Liee tries to throw a body punch but Frankies avoids it by throwing Liee back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liee lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Liee comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Liee tries to throw a body punch but Frankies avoids it by throwing Liee back against the cage.
Liee lands an elbow inside that Frankies shrugs off.
Liee cracks Frankies with a nice body shot.
Liee tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Frankies goes for a takedown attempt but Liee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Liee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frankies stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Liee waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Frankies. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Frankies to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frankies can't keep his opponent in guard - Liee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Frankies is still in real trouble! Can Liee finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liee is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Frankies avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Liee.
Frankies seems to have recovered his senses.
Liee is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Liee trying to control from half guard but Frankies is working away.
Liee is controlling the pace.
Liee is looking to take a break and control but Frankies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Liee is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Liee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frankies keeps working.

Liee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frankies is just riding it out for now. Liee eventually gives up the hold.

Liee wants to work for an arm triangle but Frankies is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Frankies is not content to let Liee control the position.
Liee trying to control the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Frankies tries to get to full guard but Liee has control of the leg.
Liee is thwarting Frankies's attempts to control the position.
Frankies gets back to full guard.
Frankies is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Frankies tries to counter by closing the distance.
Liee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Frankies shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Frankies is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Liee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Frankies defends it easily.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Frankies controls from within his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Liee throws a right and a left that Frankies avoids nicely.

Frankies has closed the distance and engaged Liee in a clinch.
Frankies throws a punch but it's blocked by Liee.
Liee tries to throw a body punch but Frankies avoids it by throwing Liee back against the cage.
Liee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Liee.

Frankies gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Liee is trying is best to control the position here.
Frankies stalling.
Liee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Frankies content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Liee keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Liee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Frankies fails to land the takedown.
Liee swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Frankies.
Liee throws a right hand that Frankies ducks under and follows up with a left that Frankies also avoids with ease.
Frankies wants to counter with a clinch but Liee pushes him away.
Liee connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Frankies! He's out on his feet! Liee rushes in and drops Frankies with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
