PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Omoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omoh comes into the arena with Prong - Snap Your Fingers Snap your Neck blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior shoots in looking for a takedown. Omoh tries to sprawl out of it but Junior keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Omoh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Junior fails to land the takedown.
Junior connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Omoh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Junior slips a straight right by Omoh.
Omoh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Andrey Omoh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Junior.
Junior tries for a takedown but Omoh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Omoh drives through and clinches with Junior against the cage.
Junior tries to score a body lock takedown but Omoh shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Junior pulls guard successfully.

Junior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Omoh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior looks gassed!

Omoh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Omoh controlling from the top position.
Junior throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Omoh wants to control from the top but Junior keeps moving.

Junior throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Omoh escapes and throws Junior's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Junior seems a little lost for a moment, as Omoh dominates the positioning.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Junior is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Omoh's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Omoh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Omoh tries to pass to full mount but Junior defends it.
Junior has hold of Omoh's hands but Omoh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Omoh is thwarting Junior's attempts to control the position.

Omoh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Omoh wants to free his trapped foot but Junior is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Omoh is controlling the pace.
Omoh seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Omoh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Omoh lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Lucas Junior has been cut.
Omoh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Junior.
Omoh listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Omoh knocks Junior out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
