Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Jones (ranked 2774 p4p, 3513 weight class) and Bruce Taylor (ranked 352 p4p, 417 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matt Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taylor looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at PhoQus Island Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Taylor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jones stands and throws Taylor's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Taylor taking punishment in the form of punches.
Taylor prevents Jones from improving position.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones happy to just control the position for now.
Taylor tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jones presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Taylor defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Taylor has given up his back here. Will Jones look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Jones really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Taylor.
Taylor wants to control his opponent's hands but Jones gets his hands free.

Jones has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Taylor! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jones gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
