Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gatis Krutainis (ranked 3420 p4p, 3665 weight class) and Solomon Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 175 weight class). Striker has chosen Thunder Struck as his entrance music. Striker has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Gatis Krutainis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker misses with a looping right.

Krutainis dives in and scores a takedown into Striker's guard.
Krutainis lands a couple of elbows.
Krutainis controls from within his opponent's guard.
Krutainis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Krutainis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Striker for as long as he can get away with.
Krutainis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Krutainis is pushing down on Striker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Striker is fighting to maintain full guard but Krutainis has managed to sneak the leg through.
Striker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Krutainis scores with a couple of nice shots.
Well, if Krutainis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Krutainis decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Krutainis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Striker is trying to defend but Krutainis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Krutainis has hold of Striker's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Striker seems comfortable defending it but Krutainis has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Striker is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Striker is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Krutainis couldn't care less - he's delighted!
