Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garik Andonian (ranked 1240 p4p, 1617 weight class) and Benedicte Swanson (ranked 160 p4p, 222 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andonian lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Andonian lands with a cross.
Nice jab there from Swanson.
Andonian takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Swanson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Swanson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

No joy there for Andonian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Andonian is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Swanson.

Andonian throws a hook to the side of Swanson's head but Swanson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Andonian throws a nice looking combination but Swanson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Andonian connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Swanson's hands.
Swanson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

It looks like Garik Andonian has been cut.

Swanson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Andonian up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Swanson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Andonian's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
