Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Kinsella (ranked 3214 p4p, 3444 weight class) and Scott Shotz (ranked 395 p4p, 418 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stephan Kinsella!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Shotz!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinsella fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shotz.
Kinsella definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kinsella connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shotz. Shotz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kinsella slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Shotz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kinsella controls Shotz momentarily but Shotz frees himself.

Kinsella working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shotz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shotz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Shotz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Shotz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Shotz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shotz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kinsella's guard.

Shotz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kinsella can't do much from the bottom here.

Shotz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kinsella looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shotz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kinsella is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shotz lets go of the hold and Kinsella can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Scott Shotz gave a mention to Primal in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
