PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aslan Krabutov (ranked 739 p4p, 2291 weight class) and Toutius Sextius (ranked 119 p4p, 335 weight class). Sextius comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 40 to 1 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aslan Krabutov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toutius Sextius!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sextius throws a lazy right hand but Krabutov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sextius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Krabutov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Krabutov shoots in for a takedown but Sextius shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Krabutov slips under a jab.

Krabutov appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've been informed that Sextius has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've been hearing good reports from Krabutov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Aslan Krabutov will probably get the nod.

Sextius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sextius drops Krabutov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Krabutov looks back up at him and smiles so Sextius waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Are you kidding me?! Sextius ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Krabutov clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

After winning the bout, Toutius Sextius thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
