Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanislav Strakapoud (ranked 2931 p4p, 2191 weight class) and Pete Os (ranked 402 p4p, 322 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stanislav Strakapoud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Os!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strakapoud has his takedown stuffed
and Os counters with a nice uppercut.
Os thows a left - swing and a miss!

Strakapoud gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Strakapoud has Os pressed against the cage, preventing Os from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Os wants to get up but he can't break Strakapoud's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Strakapoud is looking for a triangle but Os pushes his legs off easily.

Strakapoud working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Os doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Os manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Strakapoud escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Os gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Strakapoud has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Os lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stanislav Strakapoud.
