The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomez closes the distance and pushes OBrien back into the cage.

OBrien throws a right hand that Gomez ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomez also avoids with ease.

OBrien fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

OBrien forces Gomez back against the cage and clinches.

Gomez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

OBrien goes for a double leg but Gomez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gomez continues to drive forward.

OBrien is trying to drag Gomez to the mat but Gomez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Schwartz Gomez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter OBrien.
Gomez lands a left hand that snaps the head of OBrien backwards.

Gomez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gomez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gomez throws a hook to the side of OBrien's head but OBrien sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
OBrien uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gomez.
OBrien shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gomez as he jumps to the side.

Gomez lands a nice shot that snaps OBrien's head back.
Gomez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gomez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

OBrien bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gomez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Schwartz Gomez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

No joy there for Gomez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
OBrien takes one to the side of the head.

OBrien is rocked!
OBrien bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Gomez comes at him with an uppercut from hell! OBrien falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! OBrien was out before he hit the floor!
