And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chika scores with a hook.

It looks like Matt Cooper has been cut.
Matt Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chika misses with a few strikes there.
Chika takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cooper throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cooper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Chika. That's going to slow Cooper down.

Chika clinches.
Chika is working Cooper over against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Cooper scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cooper misses with a short punch on the inside.
Cooper throws a punch but it's blocked by Chika.
Chika lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cooper backwards.
Cooper is trying to stall.
Chika lands with a light punch inside.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

I was talking to Chika's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Cooper is trying to drag Chika to the mat but Chika just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cooper's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

That has opened up Matt Cooper's cut even more.

Matt Cooper's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Chika.
Cooper is still on wobbly legs! Can Chika finish him?
Chika works on Cooper's body with a couple of short punches.
Chika creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Cooper with a big uppercut! Cooper tries to clinch up but Chika pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Cooper to the mat! Cooper covers up and Chika unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chidi Chika!
