Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimr Kozlov (ranked 4617 p4p, 4564 weight class) and Stormy Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimr Kozlov had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vladimr Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stormy Crow!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Francis DeMontford and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crow throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kozlov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kozlov stalls.
Crow tries to stall but Kozlov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kozlov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Crow clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kozlov controls the position.
Will Kozlov go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crow defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kozlov's arms.
Crow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kozlov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kozlov controlling the positon.

Kozlov looking for the choke but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kozlov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Crow's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kozlov is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kozlov controlling the positon.
Crow covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Kozlov has Crow flattened out and is raining down punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kozlov trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

I would not like to be Crow right now.
Will Kozlov go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Kozlov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Crow is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kozlov is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kozlov is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Crow presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Kozlov is persistently looking for the submission but Crow is defending it well.
Kozlov is riding his opponent, not letting Crow buck him off.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kozlov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Crow has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kozlov's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Kozlov keeps control of the position as Crow tries to break free.

Kozlov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crow can do to turn this around?

Kozlov connects with a big shot to the side of Crow's head.

That's time! Kozlov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Crow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kozlov.
Kozlov shoots for a double leg takedown but Crow sprawls well. He's pushed Kozlov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Crow! But no joy.
Crow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Kozlov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Kozlov rushes Crow and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kozlov has Crow pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kozlov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Crow tumbling to the mat - Kozlov dives into Crow's guard.

Kozlov stands up and waves to Crow to follow him.

Kozlov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crow swivels and escapes.
Crow appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimr Kozlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Crow is wriggling around but Kozlov manages to pass to half guard.


Kozlov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crow defends it well.

Crow takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Crow misses with a double jab.
Kozlov staying out of range there.
Crow throws a body shot but no joy.
Crow just misses with a punch to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crow takes a swing at Kozlov's ribcage but misses.
Crow missing with a left hand there. Kozlov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Crow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kozlov instigates a clinch.

Kozlov jumps into guard, dragging Crow to the mat.
Kozlov keeping moving, preventing Crow from controlling successfully.

Kozlov has Crow pulled in close to control his posture.
Kozlov trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kozlov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Kozlov stands up from half guard.
Kozlov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kozlov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kozlov has Crow pushed against the cage.
Kozlov stalling against the cage.
Kozlov seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Kozlov is looking for a takedown.
Kozlov has Crow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vladimr Kozlov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kozlov clinches up with Crow and pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Crow's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stormy Crow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vladimr Kozlov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kozlov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vladimr Kozlov showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kozlov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
