PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Barnell (ranked 6020 p4p, 2330 weight class) and Wison Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 305 weight class). Barnell comes into the arena with Hypnotize blaring out of the sound system. Ramos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Originales. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Barnell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wison Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramos gets tackled into the cage by Barnell. Barnell maintains the clinch.

Barnell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ramos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Barnell is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barnell is on top in guard.

Barnell advances to half guard.
Barnell stalling.
Barnell works his way into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramos is looking to get back to his feet here but Barnell is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ramos's back.
Barnell has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ramos's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos wants to get back to his feet.

Barnell looking for the choke from the back.
Ramos is taking damage to the body and head.
Barnell lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Ramos is trying to get back to his feet but Barnell has full control of the position and if anything, Ramos has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnell controls the position.
Barnell scores with punches and elbows.
Barnell lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Ramos.

Ramos is rocked!
Barnell is landing big shots and Ramos is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
