Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tuur Carlier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur King!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Carlier.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carlier.
King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Carlier throws an ugly left hook that misses
and King counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carlier won't be happy with that.
King looks up at the clock and then as Carlier takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, King smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Carlier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Carlier down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
King is looking to take a break and control but Carlier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Carlier tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
Carlier is looking to control King's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carlier avoid being mounted?
King lands with a punch from half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to Carlier's temple.
Carlier is trying to maintain the position but King is very close to passing his half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Carlier's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
