Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oscar De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CT Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner has chosen Throw it Up #2-Lil jon as his entrance music. CT Turner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Turner.

De La Hoya gets caught flat footed, as Turner shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Turner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
De La Hoya keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully.

Turner stands up from De La Hoya's guard - Turner perhaps looking for a knockout.

De La Hoya shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
De La Hoya throws a series of punches but Turner moves out of range.

Turner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
De La Hoya throws a right hand that Turner ducks under and follows up with a left that Turner also avoids with ease.
Turner tries to clinch but De La Hoya is having none of it.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
No luck for Turner with that takedown attempt.
Turner shoots in looking for a takedown. De La Hoya tries to sprawl out of it but Turner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De La Hoya manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
De La Hoya falls off balance throwing a combination
and Turner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
De La Hoya throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
De La Hoya looks to land a right hand but Turner moved out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
De La Hoya checks the leg kick nicely there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


De La Hoya throws a right and a left that both miss.
Turner darts in trying to clinch
and De La Hoya counters with a left and a right that stings Turner.
De La Hoya lands a glancing blow to the side of Turner's head.

Turner shoots in and drives through. De La Hoya sprawls well.

De La Hoya has closed the distance and engaged Turner in a clinch.
Turner wants to stall.

De La Hoya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in De La Hoya's half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De La Hoya is just riding it out for now. Turner eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Oscar De La Hoya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Turner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Turner quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Turner but it's paid off an De La Hoya is forced to tap! Nice work by Turner.
