Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lipe Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Badig Onil!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ribeiro lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Onil backs up against the cage.
It looks like Badig Onil has been cut.
Onil walks into a jab.
Onil takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ribeiro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Onil tries a quick counter leg kick but Ribeiro is wise to it.
Ribeiro scores with a crisp jab that stopped Onil in his tracks.
Ribeiro throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Onil on the side of the head.
Ribeiro pounces like a tiger and cracks Onil with a vicious hook! Onil is down but not out! Ribeiro follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lipe Ribeiro!
Lipe Ribeiro took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
The defeated Badig Onil had this to say: 'I was born in Africa, grew up in Africa, even kingkong is nothing to me.
But it turns out that you are much uglier than kingkong, so you can beat me this time and only because you are lucky.'.
